My favourite shampoo │ Alberto Balsam juicy green apple review.♥

Hola you lovely lot! 

Today's post is a bit of a 2 in 1 as I'm sharing my favourite shampoo but I'm also giving a review of the brand Alberto Balsam. 

I have oily hair and it gets greasy every 2 days, it's actually ridiculous. So about a year ago I was trying to invest in a new shampoo as I was using Tresemme which is an okay shampoo.

I came across this and I had heard of the brand and I heard juicy green apple and thought it will smell really nice and I wasn't wrong there. It smells so nice and when you wash your hair with it, it freshens up your hair and your hair smells of apples until you wash it on the 2nd day (this is just my hair though as it is oily). I also liked how it says "get fresh for normal/greasy hair" it really does work and gets rid of all my grease. It is a winner and I buy it for £1 from Savers which is a bargain.

1. Where are you from?
I'm from Calgary, Alberta Canada.

2. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging right on January 1st, 2014 as my New Years Resolution. A goal to starting something new and sharing my passion.

3. If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what 3 beauty items would you want with you?
If I was shipwrecked on a desert island, my three must have beauty item would definitely be a concealer, eyeliner & sunscreen.

4. Is there a fashion designer that you would really like to meet?
There's many I would love to meet but definitely Vera Wang (her work is so elegant) & Alexander Wang (his creations are outstanding)

5. Where do you normally blog and why?
I like to blog normally after work on my desk with a cup of tea and a lit candle. I love blogging in a relaxing environment and it's really stress relieving for me.

6. Pet peeves?
I don't have ones in particular but anything that is related to being clean or organized because I'm kind of a clean freak ^^

7. How often do you blog?
I try to do at least two posts a week.

8. Top 5 favourite bloggers and why?

These are all gorgeous & amazing ladies that are super talented and inspired. Their blogs have wonderful content, beautiful pictures and so much confidence.

9. What are 5 items you never leave home without.
Cell phone, wallet, lip balm, handbag, & bottled water.

10. What are your fears/phobias?
If I have to say one, it would be loneliness. I don't like the idea of being by myself too long, it gives me tension & anxiety.

11. If you could change one thing about your blog what would it be and why?
I would love to change the layout into something more professional. But I'm looking into that for a later advancement.

12. Favourite blog posts to read?
I'm in love with reading beauty/health remedies, fashion & beauty reviews.

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I'm hoping in five years that I'll become a Professional Makeup Artist and sharing all my life's progress on my blog. Hoping for a great passionate career, stable life, great friends, with my lovely husband and future kids under one roof :)

14. What goals do you want to achieve on your blog?
Goals that I would like to achieve on my blog is to be able to keep writing posts and cherishing all my lovely followers & comments.
I would love my blog to be a place where it's like my diary and keeping all my thoughts, passion, & inspirations in one place to share with everyone and a place where I can look back to.

I'm inspired by beautiful things & all things that make me happy and I believe that happiness is the key to life.

Beauty because I'm in love with the techniques of a makeup artist. I'm in love with how a beautiful blank canvas can be enhanced into something that portrays ones character & confidence.

How is everyone! Today I'm going to do the blog your heart out TAG because everyone likes a TAG and well I like to mix and match on my blog and I feel like by doing TAGs you get to know me a tad better. 

1. Who/What encouraged you to start blogging?

I'm not really sure, I used blogs mainly for reading reviews of products and then I just thought one day I want to start a blog and then I got bored but I've really got into it now and it's a big part of my life.

2. How did you choose what topics to blog about?

I chose what interested me at the time, I love beauty, fashion and lifestyle so I thought why not base it on something I enjoy. I know most of you are probably sat there like "She doesn't like fashion, where are her fashion posts?!" and I know I don't really do fashion posts because I'm not an expert - I want to do the occasional what trends I like and maybe a fashion wishlist or even an OOTD but I mainly blog about beauty and lifestyle. 

3. What is something most people don't know about you?

I don't really know - not got a clue! Maybe that I own far too many lip balms... That's rubbish! Comment below and ask me something you want to know about me and then I'll pick one to be mentioned here when I get one. 

4. What three words describe your style?

Weird, unique and combination. 

5.What do you love to do when you're not blogging?

Shopping, reading, listening to music and watching movies.

Lush │ Ickle Baby Bot Ballistic Review.♥

It has took me so long to write this review and I don't even know why but for some reason I just have left it a good month or so. As you know back in January (at the end of January) I spent some of my christmas money in Lush and well I bought one of these to try as they were the cheapest item in and he looked adorable and the smell is so lovely. Anyway if you want to purchase one of these fellows which I highly recommend you do click here they're only £1.95.

I broke mine into pieces so that I didn't have to use the whole thing at once as I wanted to use it a lot more than once.

So as you can see from the photos he is very cute. He smells of lavender and makes your bathroom and where ever you keep him smell so nice. He is so worth the money and I managed to make him last 8 baths which I'd say is pretty good. Overall I would repurchase him again and again.

How to make Cheese Straws ♥

Hola! 

Today I thought I'd share with you how you can make your very own cheese straws I have two ways to share and one is a lot quicker than the other however both methods are quick and easy and taste delicious! 

Recipe 1 (Makes 50)

Ingredients

- 100g (4 oz) - Be-Ro Self Raising Flour

- Pinch - Salt

- Pinch - Mustard Powder

- 50g (2 oz) - Margarine

-  75g (3 oz) - Mature Cheddar or Red Leicester Cheese, grated.

- 1 Medium egg - Beaten.

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180ºC, 350ºF, Gas Mark 4.

2. Grease a baking tray.

3. Mix together the flour, salt and mustard. 

4. Rub in the margarine.

5. Stir in the cheese and add sufficient egg to make a stiff dough.

6. Roll out very thinly and cut into strips. 

7. Place on a baking tray.

8. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Recipe 2

Ingredients

- Jus Rol puff pastry.

- A bag of mozzarella cheese. 

- Be-ro self raising flour.

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180ºC, 250ºF, Gas Mark 4. 

2. Add foil to a baking tray.

3. Get your Jus Rol puff pastry - if you wanting to make lots use the whole block otherwise cut into half and use one half. 

4. Get your Be-Ro self raising flour and dust a little bit onto where you're baking. 

5. Roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin until it is quite thin. 

6. Add your mozzarella cheese and fold the pastry over and roll it out so the cheese is in the pastry. Keep doing this till you have enough cheese in it.

7. Finally roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips.

8. Put them on a baking tray and put them into the oven. 

9. Bake for 20 minutes.

Here is my first batch of Cheese Straws.

It is so quick and easy to make a nice homemade snack!

My weight changes quite a bit but I don't know why anyone would want to know.

Nope. I don't know whether I'll get any when I'm a bit older as I think I might like a quote or a small symbol but I'm undecided.

Yep my ears and only my first hole. I want to get more though.

I don't really have one.

The big bang theory, Benidorm, Outnumbered and My mad fat diary.

I miss the closeness I used to have with some people but I know that I'm better off without those people.

My favourite song is probably the hardest to pick as I have so many but I do love Youth by Daughter and Sex by 1975.

15 years young but 16 in October.

Libra but I don't really believe in horoscopes.

Funny and Kind although I think it's all about that persons personality. I want someone who will be my best friend too.

Too many but Hugh Grant is one of my favourites oh and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Blue - turquoise mainly.

Depends on my mood but normally soft because It helps me sleep.

My bed and have a good cry.

Around 5 minutes.

Does pushing someone over in year 6 count? It wasn't really a fight but I did push her over whoops.

I thought it would be a nice hobby to take up and it would stop my boredom and I was inspired by Zoella.

Looking For Alaska by John Green however I can't really get into it.

Maybelline Big Eyes mascara | Review 

Hello lovelies! I'm Caitlin and you can find me here. I write a blog about lifestyle, beauty and the odd fashion thing. I was kinda always interested in blogs but since last summer, I started reading them more and more and eventually thought, 'why not start my own blog!?' and so I did. I try to post at least once a week but if you, like me, have a job and go to university whilst trying to run a blog.. you'll know how hard it is! Anyway, this post is going to be a review of Maybelline's Big Eyes mascara. I'll try not to ramble too much & I hope you like this post! 

I’ll just get right into it.. I LOVE this mascara! I work in Superdrug and every few weeks we have to promote something new and I hate promoting something that I haven’t used myself and so I just had to buy it. And I’m so glad I did because it’s brilliant. The idea of having a separate brush for your upper and lower lashes is just genius. I love using quite thick brushes but they often end up making your lower lashes look clumpy/messy so it’s great that this mascara has a thick brush for upper lashes and a tiny brush for lower lashes. It just really opens up your eyes and gives them such length and volume.

I would highly recommend this mascara to anyone who usually loves thick brushes.. or if you just want to try something new. However, if you typically like small/straight brushes, this might not be the mascara for you. I’ve been experimenting with different mascaras for a while and I was loving Sleek’s Full Fat Lash mascara but I’ve been converted to the ways of Maybelline and definitely think that this is now the mascara for me. 

Big Eyes can be bought in for £8.99 and is available in black or black waterproof. Superdrug currently have a ‘Buy 1, get the second half price’ offer on all Maybelline products which is pretty good if you’re wanting two or more things! You should definitely check out this mascara if you want a new one to try.
