Hot Chocolate.

Hello everyone. Now today's post is just going to be a quick one but I wanted to share with you my hot chocolate pictures. If you're following me on instagram I'm sure you'll have seen a few of these. Now it's Winter I never want to do anything but there is one thing I have been doing. Yes, that's right! Making hot chocolates. Before Winter arrived or should I say before 2015 I was never really a hot chocolate kind of girl. I preferred tea, I still do love tea but there is just something about hot chocolate right now that I love. Now I always make my hot chocolates with milk, is that just me? I then use marshmallows and cream and chocolate sprinkles and it is such a luxury. I got a new mug for Christmas and now it is my 'hot chocolate mug' and I absolutely adore it. There is just something about winter that makes you want to snuggle on the sofa in your pyjamas with a hot chocolate and a movie. Of course I have been doing homework and blogging alongside chilling. Well, when I say I've been chilling I have been chilling about 1% this winter so far because being in Year 11 the work load is ridiculous.

Anyways I thought I would just share with you my favourite photos of the hot chocolates I've made this winter!

What have you been doing this February?

Make Up Solutions.

I'm sure we've all been there. Trying to find everything early on a monday morning with one eye shut and then when trying to put on your makeup, still half asleep, you will go and drop your blusher and it smashes. Or something else can occur where your eyeshadow or eyeliner pencil just snaps in half. A nightmare! So while you contemplate giving up about life, I have some handy tips and tricks for you on how to solve some of the situations you may get into with your make up. Whether it be a smashed up powder, snapped lipstick or any other beauty disaster!

Dried-Out Mascara

If you are someone like me who has a favourite mascara that has dried out or you just haven't opened it for more than 6 months (the recommended use time) then don't panic because all you have to do is add a few drops of saline solution or eye drops to the bottle and give it a little bit of a mix with the want and you are sorted! Your mascara is fixed! I have to admit I tend to throw away my mascara if it dries out and if I've had it for ages because all I can think about is the bacteria!

Smashed Eyeshadow

I have been there and have certainly smashed a few eyeshadows in my time. Last year I smashed two of my MAC eyeshadows and trust me, I was devastated. However I didn't panic, as all I did was smash it up some more and then I transferred it into a little pot and then now I use it as a loose-powder pigment. I hate to waste product so this was a life saviour!

Broken Compact Powder

I can't say I have ever broken a compact powder, not yet anyway. However if you have or do ever have this problem put clingfilm over the broken powder and crush the rest of it up with the back of a spoon. Then put no more than 3 drops of 70% rubbing alcohol and smooth the mixture together with a spoon. Then leave to set for 30 minutes and voila your powder is fixed!

Snapped Lipstick

Again, I have had this trouble and in fact it has been with two of my lipsticks last year. I was too lazy of course to do this step. My lipstick was too broken and warming it back up was not the solution. However this method could be perfect for you. Warm up the base of the broken off bit of your lipstick with a lighter (please be careful) and then gently press it back onto the other part. Leave it in the fridge to set for an hour or how much time you think it needs. If your lipstick is too broken to fix just like mine were than you can make it into a lipstick palette. Microwave a small amount and put into a little dish.

Bashed Up Blusher

Have you ever broken your blusher up into lots of pieces by knocking it off the side? Don't fear because you can turn your broken blusher into a cream blusher. All you have to do is put your blusher into a pot, squirt your favourite moisturiser in the pot and mix until it turns into a paste. Then add in some primer so it holds a little better and keep mixing until you're happy with the colour and texture.

What make up solutions do you have?

February Empties.

Hello everyone. So today's post is another empties one and this time it is February. Did you read my January empties? Well if you missed my post you can read it here. I don't have many empties this month but I thought I would share them nevertheless. I also thought I'd share with you that from February (this month) I have started a Project 10 Pan and I would like to thank a lovely reader for introducing me into this product because if she hadn't have told me she was doing it, I would never have thought to do it. Basically Project 10 Pan is where you can chose 10 items/products that you want to use up and you cannot buy another one of this category until you have used it up. For example you need to use a mascara up first before you buy another one. So that is what I am going to be doing and I'm sure I will share my progress with you all at some point, I think it's a great project to do and very cost effective.

Okay so onto the empties post...

The first empty I have for you is Duraphat 2800 toothpaste - I got prescribed this toothpaste by the dentist and I have to say it's brilliant. It really helps my teeth and they seem to be really white when I use this and it doesn't taste horrible and it doesn't sting your mouth and it's just a great toothpaste.

Rating out of 10 - 6/10

Would I repurchase? - Probably not as I got it on prescription but I cannot renew it so I don't think I'll be able to get anymore and if I were to pay for it myself on prescription it would cost over £8!

My next empty is the Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Moisturiser - This is one of the nicest moisturisers I have tried. It definitely makes my tan last longer and just keeps my skin lovely and soft and it's not greasy in the slightest because it is oil-free. It smells absolutely lovely and if you would like to read more about this product then I did a review here.  At £5.99 it's such a great price too!

Rating out of 10 - 7/10

Would I repurchase? - Absolutely!

I also finished another Cocoa Brown product and that was the Gentle Bronze Gradual Tan which I actually loved. It was a great product to use and I would definitely repurchase at you can build it up and it's not messy in the slightest. Really love this product! If you want to read more you can again read my review about it here.  Again this product is £5.99!

Rating out of 10 - 7/10

Would I repurchase? - Yes!

Also did you see my valentines suggestion post? I featured some more Cocoa Brown products and gave a review of each product too! If you didn't read it then again you can read it here.

The last item I have in my empties is this travel size pot of Soap & Glory's Flake Away Body Scrub which smells amazing and is just great. I have to admit these did leak once of twice which was a bit of a nuisance but overall the product gives a great exfoliation and helps get rid of all the dead skin cells. This was in the travel size pot (50ml) which you can buy here for £2.50 or you can buy the 300ml pot here for £8.00. I actually prefer travel sizes of every product and I actually won this in a giveaway back in August and it was such a great introduction. If you want to read about the time I won this in a giveaway you can read it here.

Rating out of 10 - 7/10

Would I repurchase? - In the future, yes!

So there we have it, those are my February empties!

What empties have you had this month?

My Perfume Collection 2015.

Hello everyone. So today's post as suggested by the title is where I talk about my current perfume collection. Just before Christmas I had used all my old perfume's up so all of my current perfume collection is what I got for Christmas. Now I must start by saying I am absolutely rubbish at describing scents so if you have any of these perfumes and you think I am or have described them wrong, I am very sorry but how I describe them is just how they personally smell to me.

The first perfume in my collection is the Ted Baker - For women (30ml). This scent is really hard to describe, it's just really strong but has a perfume sort of smell. It doesn't smell fruity or florally. It's a nice perfume though, not my favourite but the design is probably my favourite part of the perfume. You can buy this perfume in a set for £14.99.

Next in my perfume collection is Gucci - Flora (30ml). This perfume smells florally and expensive and I'm just in love with the scent. The packaging of this perfume is just so cute and luxurious. I actually got sent this from the lovely Cosme-de.com so if you would like to here all about the company and the perfume then you can read here.  You can get this perfume for £33 on the Cosme-de.com website.

The next perfume in my collection is Lady Gaga - Fame (30ml). This perfume is super fruity and I just love it. Probably my favourite out of my collection in all honesty. It is so beautiful and the packaging is so unique. When you spray this onto your wrist the spray is black which is very unique and I have never had a perfume like this. You can get this in a gift set currently for £12.99.

The last perfume in my collection is the Marks and Spencers - Butterfly (90ml). This perfume smells quite cheap, it's definitely my least favourite. I feel like it is supposed to smell florally but I'm just not feeling it. The packaging isn't the best either but you do get a lot of the product. You can buy this perfume for £10 so again it isn't the most expensive.

My perfume collection isn't huge but it takes me ages to get through one perfume so these will last me a long time.

So there is my current perfume collection. Have you tried any of these perfumes and what are your thoughts?

Joma Jewellery.

Hello everyone. I hope you're all well! Today I have a jewellery post with you today. I actually got this bracelet for Christmas from my lovely cousin and I thought it was that cute that I had to share it with you.

Now I've never actually heard about Joma Jewellery before but when I googled them - as always I turn to google and I went on their website and they sell the most gorgeous pieces.

I absolutely love my little bracelet and this is a perfect gift for someone who is very special to you because there is so many different ones. I absolutely love my bracelet and would recommend Joma Jewellery.

I really don't know what was going on with my hand/arm at this point - I hadn't been very well and some how it affects my arm/hand. It is the most gorgeous bracelet and it isn't too tight or too loose and I just love it.

I just thought I'd share this quick post today with you as I'd love for you to check out Joma Jewellery. I must add this post is in no way sponsored by Joma Jewellery I just genuinely would recommend their jewellery and recommend that you have a look. This company is perfect for a gift for someone and is very affordable. Not only does this company do cute bracelets but they also do necklaces too!

I hope you have a lovely evening!

*Miners Cosmetics.

Hello everyone. So today I have a post for you that should have gone up quite a while a go. I received these products from the lovely Miners Cosmetics back in October but because I schedule my posts in advance, I have just been able to fit this in now.

Now onto the products...

The first product I received was the *Moisture Effect Lipstick in Kiss Me Quick. I really like the simplicity of the packaging and I love how you can see what the colour actually is. I would describe this lipstick as a bright orange/ coral shade and I must admit it's not something I'd go for normally because I just love neutral colours but it is a really nice shade for someone who is a bit more daring. This lipstick definitely warms up your complexion which for Winter is perfect. This lipstick is £2.49.

The next product I received was the *Dip and Define Eye Powder in the shade Damson Dust. I absolutely adore this product and would say that it's probably my favourite out of the 4 items. It is a great size so you could travel with it, it's so easy to apply as it already has a special applicator in it and it is the most gorgeous shade. You would expect this shade to be very noticeable but it is a really delicate plum shade with silver metallic flicks. This shade is very flattering for green and brown eyes which I have brown eyes. I would highly recommend this product and I can't wait to buy some more of these. This is only £2.99 too!

The next product I received was the *Define and Line Liquid Eyeliner in the shade blue. Now again, I'm not very daring when it comes to eyeliner and especially liquid. I haven't used liquid eyeliner in years! I find it so difficult to use and it just ends up going everywhere. I now use felt tip liners which are much more suited to myself and I always go for the classic black. So this eyeliner is both daring in shade but also in application. The wand does make it a little bit easier to apply but it wasn't my favourite product - mainly because of the shade. However if you're into liquid eyeliners I think this product would be perfect for you and at only £1.99 it is a bargain!

The last product I received was the *Colour and Kohl Eyeliner in the shade blue. Again this matches the liquid eyeliner but pencil eyeliner is again a thing that I got out of very quickly. I used pencil eyeliner about 2/3 years ago and I used to look like a panda! I was 13 okay? However I am definitely willing to give this eyeliner another go but during summer when I personally feel I can wear more daring colours however it is a great consistency and at only £1.49 it is very affordable!

{Up to down: Moisture Effect Lipstick in Kiss Me Quick, Define and Liner liquid eyeliner in blue,
Colour and Kohl Eyeliner in Blue and Dip and Define eye powder in Damson Dust}

So they are all the products I have so far tried from Miners Cosmetics and even though most of them are a bit too daring for me or they don't suit my style anymore, they are good products and very affordable and I would definitely recommend them. I would again like to thank Miners Cosmetics for sending me these items.

Thanks for reading! Have you tried anything from Miners Cosmetics

Graze.

Hello everyone. So today's post is where I talk all about Graze. Now I'm pretty sure most people have heard of graze now and I am really fascinated by the company and so last October I decided to order my first ever box and see what they were like. I ticked and crossed a few boxes on the website and picked the box I wanted and then on it's way it came. My box was actually late arriving to me which was a bit of a disappointment but I wasn't really too bothered. The box was packaged so well and it looked really cute. I actually got my box on Halloween so it was the perfect excuse to stuff my face.

When I opened my box I was greeted by two £5 vouchers which I gave one away and I gave one to my friend and then I had my contents of my box. I absolutely love the cute packaging of the little boxes and I think it's great how they are delivered by post.

In my box I got 'Garden of England', 'Cracking black peppercorn', 'Cookies & Cream' and 'Honeycomb flapjack'. I absolutely hated 'Garden of England' and 'Cracking black peppercorn' they were not my scene but I gave them to other family members so they didn't get wasted and then I ate the chocolate buttons from 'Cookies & Cream' because I hate nuts and gave the nuts to the birds. (I feel bad for saying that but it saved them going to waste) and then my favourite was the 'Honeycomb flapjack' I could eat that all day, it is so so good! I loved it so much and wish I got have a massive bowl full because it's so delightful. So out of 10 I'd give my graze box a 2 because I didn't really get what I wanted but the packaging was good and I loved the flapjack. I don't think I'd get another graze box.

I got the savoury box I believe and that is £3.99 per box. The nibble box is £3.99 too. You can also get a breakfast box for £3.99 and New share bags for £15 (5 sharing bags).

What was your graze box experience?

Why I Changed From Google+ Comments to Disqus.

Hello everyone. So today I'm bringing you a different post but I thought I would just explain why I changed from Google+ Comments to Disqus. I would also like to wish you all a happy valentines day - for me personally this day is nothing for me but for others it is a day of love.

Anyway, You may or may not have noticed but on the 31st December 2014 I decided that  I wanted to change from Google+ comments to Disqus because I couldn't reply to all of my comments which was very frustrating and I felt bad. I had lots of Google+ comments which is why I didn't want to change because for almost an entire year I had all those comments from Google+. I of course lost them all which is sad but at least this way I can reply to every single one of my comments.

I'm not sure if other bloggers have experienced this but basically some people's comments I couldn't comment back on as others I could and it made me think for quite a while because of course I don't want any reader to think I am singling them out and not replying and being ignorant because I do read every single comment and it got to the point where it made me feel so bad, so that is why I decided to change.

I actually had a lot of trouble installing Disqus on my blog and it was incredibly frustrating but after further a do - it is sorted and I am very happy. I'm just really glad now that I can comment/reply back to everyone.

Disqus is so easy to use once it's installed and I'd totally recommend it if you are not using it already.

This was just a quick post from me to just inform you of that change but have a lovely day where ever you are!

*Cocoa Brown Gift Set - A Valentine's Suggestion.

Hello everyone. So as I have suggested by the title today's post is a valentine's suggestion of what you may want from your partner. If you love fake tan, this post may be right up your street. Founder of the multi-award winning tanning range, Cocoa Brown and beauty expect, Marissa Carter have put together 3 simple tips to help you create flawlessly bronzed skin this Valentines Day.

Here are all the items that you need to be flawlessly bronzed this Valentines Day.

Step 1 - When it comes to tanning, preparation is key. The first step you need to do is remove rough, dry, flaky skin and any uneven bumps (also known as keratin plugs) on the skin by exfoliating using *Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub which is only £5.99. Start at your toes and work your way towards your heart to get your blood flowing and increase your circulation which brings oxygen and nutrients to your skin cells, making it more healthy and radiant. This is my first time of using *Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub but because it contains finely ground pumice, it does a far better job of exfoliating your skin than your typical apricot or walnut kernel body scrubs. Don't be fooled by the pretty pink colour of the tube or scrub because this body scrub means business and it leaves your skin feeling smoother than it ever has. Pay particular attention to areas such as your hands, feet, elbows and knees which can be particularly prone to dryness. Also this scrub smells incredible and it is just so good. I would highly recommend it.

Step 2 - Now that your body is exfoliated, your skin will be at it's most absorbent and will drink up any moisturiser your put on. The award winning body moisturiser *Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Oil-Free Body Moisturiser is the one you need and it's only £5.99! It hydrates and plumps skin so that it appears luminous and radiant and helps prepare skin for Cocoa Brown Tan. Now I actually did a review of this product so if you would like to know more then you can read my review about it here.

Step 3 - You are now ready to apply your *Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Dark which is £7.99. This is my first time of using this particular tan as I have used the *Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze Tan in the past which I did a review of here. However I really enjoyed using this tan. I applied this tan using the *Cocoa Brown Tanning Mitt (which is £2.99) and I swept the product back and fourth to ensure a streak-free result. 1 Hour Tan Dark is a brown mousse formulation so you can see where you are applying it which I find super useful and the best part? It's fast drying too! It doesn't have the fake tan biscuit smell but has the scent of the beautiful floral Tahitian Gardenia scent and leaves deeply bronzed skin without the risk of an orange tint . You can leave it to develop for 1,2 or even 3 hours, depending on how dark you'd like your skin to look.

Once you have rinsed your 1 hour Tan Dark, you can then add an additional layer of the Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Oil-Free moisturiser every day to lock in moisture and extend the life of your Cocoa Brown glow. Of course, Chocolate Whip has the added benefit of making you smell irresistible for that special someone too, making it along with the scented Tough Stuff Body Scrub and 1 Hour Tan Dark, A Valentines Day beauty essential!

I hope you've enjoyed this post! Have you tried anything from Cocoa Brown before?

DIY: White chocolate cookies.

Hello everyone. So you may have seen that last month I posted a recipe to do Milk and White Chocolate cookies which if you didn't see it you can read it here. However sometimes you just want, one type of chocolate and so this time I have a recipe where you just use white chocolate and it is exactly the same as my other recipe except you just don't use milk chocolate and you use less chocolate, however I thought I'd do a post on just white chocolate cookies as I had some photos that I wanted to share with you too. So as you can tell by the first image I was really getting into making these cookies. If you do end up making these cookies I'd love to see them and you can always tweet me a photo to my twitter: @imcalledmeg_

Ingredients/Equipment:

- Scales
- Wooden Spoon
- 200g Butter (room temperature)
- 300g Caster Sugar
- 1 large egg
- 325g Self Raising Flour
- Dash of Milk
- 100g of white chocolate
- 2 trays with greaseproof paper or foil
- Whisk
- Bowl

Method:

1. Preheat Oven to 200°C.
2. Measure out your ingredients.
2. Mix together the butter and sugar with a whisk.
3.  Crack the egg and mix that into the butter and sugar.
4. Gradually add in the self raising flour and whisk.
5. If the mixture is dry, add a dash of milk.
6. Break up the chocolate and mix it into the mixture.
7. Grab a hand full of mixture and put it onto the tray.
8. Put them in the oven.
9. Leave them in for 10 minutes.
10. Leave them to cool for 20-30 minutes.
11. Enjoy!

Here is my cookies before I put them in the oven!

Here are my cookies once they had been cooked in the oven for 10 minutes!

As you can see I got a little carried away when making these cookies and made 27 cookies and they were so delicious! (If I do say so myself) they are a great treat that are so quick and easy to make!

Have a lovely evening!

My February Advertisers.

Hello everyone so today's post is about my February advertisers. I have started advertising on my blog again and would love some advertisers for next month. It is £1 a month for a feature in a post (advertisers post), you will get a tweet mentioning your blog and you will be in my sidebar. I think this is pretty reasonable and I love sharing the blog love. So without further ado here is my first advertiser of the month...

So this is Iyana which Iyana describes her name as 'like a banana but with an I' which really amused me as I like how she has a good sense of humour. Iyana is the girl who runs the little blog across the sphere called GlowingWithEnvy which Iyana says she doesn't know where she got the name from but she says that it almost 'captures' her 'mildly neurotic personality'. On GlowingWithEnvy you should expect to see mainly beauty articles and fashion posts although sometimes you can expect to see an odd recipe. Also Iyana says that she will publish posts that are more of a keepsake for example photos of her loved ones, memories and thoughts and feelings - this happens once in a blue moon! I really love Iyana's blog, especially the layout and if you would like to pop on over to her blog you can click here.

My next advertiser of the month is Mimi. Mimi is a lover of all things beauty and fashion and decided to share the love with all those who might listen and this is what she is here to do. Mimi, like myself  is a teen who loves trying new make-up and is on the hunt for high street dupes. While doing this she hopes to find her 'Holy-Grail' products and she even gets frowned at by her parents for spending too much on beauty products. Mimi says that she will also do the occasional post on fashion such as a haul or lookbook. Mimi also loves to know if there is anything in particular that her readers would be interested to read about. Mimi has the blog Mimi's Beauty and if you would like to pop on over then you can here!

My third advertiser this month is Estelle from the blog Let Me Go xo. Estelle describes her blog name that makes many people sing 'Let It Go' when they see it on their Twitter timeline which I feel is really cute. Estelle blogs about anything and everything that pops into her head. Estelle says she likes to pretend that she knows what she is talking about regarding beauty but she says she can't even do winged eyeliner - which in all honesty neither can I! Estelle's blog is full of A* sarcasm, witty comments and poor puns and if you would like to read more click over to Estelle's blog here. I must add I absolutely love Estelle's photography and blog layout! You go gurl!

My fourth and final advertiser this month is Ash from the blog Violet Dreams. Violet Dreams is a beauty, fashion & lifestyle blog with plenty of beauty reviews, a handful of outfit posts and a few photography and food related posts chucked in for good measure. If you would like to pop over to Ash's blog then you can click here. Again I absolutely love the layout of this blog!

So there is all my February Advertisers! Do click on their blogs and give them some love!

Thanks for reading!

*Flamingo Gifts Review.

Hello everyone. So today I have a review for you today and it is of the company Flamingo Gifts. Now I am firstly going to apologise for the quality of these photos. I was taking these photos when it wasn't quite bright enough outside but I needed to take them before I went out because I had to go to the hospital etc and it has all being very manic. So please forgive me, I feel awful. Flamingo Gifts pride themselves on offering unique gifts and I must admit they do have a very interesting range of items to choose from. I was kindly allowed to pick a few items off the website to review and I'm going to tell you my thoughts and feelings on the products. I must thank Flamingo Gifts for sending me these items. So now onto the items I received...

The first item I received was this *Happy Jackson Yay Lunch box and I believe this is from the company Wild & Wolf. I've actually been looking for a new lunch box for school as my other lunchbox was a boring plastic see through thing that just didn't brighten up my bag. I have actually lusted after one of these lunch box's for ages and I was so happy to receive it. It's actually crazy how much food you can fit into it and it is perfect for travel. It is also £5.94 which I'd say is pretty reasonable so I am very happy indeed.

The next item I received was this *teapot chalk board from Sass and Belle - who I absolutely adore! Their items are so cute! Now if you don't already know I am from Yorkshire and I drink so much tea therefore I thought it was very fitting. I may even at times use it for blog posts and quotes as well as what I am currently using it for which is a to do list. It is so cute and handy and you can hook it up on your wall if you would like. This is £4.25 so it is a really affordable gift and looks lovely anywhere in the house!

The next item I got was again from Sass and Belle and it is their *Owl Shaped Trinket Box. Now I've never had a trinket box and I thought it would be nice to have somewhere to store my rings or precious necklaces or somewhere I can keep memories items in. I absolutely love the inside of the trinket box and it is made from ceramic. It is a perfect little gift for anyone and would love super cute on a dressing table and at only £6.75 it really is a great affordable gift!

The last item I received were these amazing  *luxury heatable Bagpuss slippers! I was so excited when I saw these as I had never seen Bagpuss slippers and I had never had heatable slippers before - so both concepts were hands down a winner.

When I took them out of the packaging they looked super cute but they are really quite heavy! All you have to do with these slippers is put them in the microwave for two minutes and then put them on your feet and instantly your feet get warm. These are great for winter and a great way to keep your feet warm, away from the cold. What I also love about these slippers is that they have a scent of lavender in the slippers as well and lavender is one of my favourite scents! I also love how these will fit sizes from 3-8! Which means they will basically fit most pairs of feet! These slippers are great for anyone who struggles to keep their feet warm or if they just love Bagpuss. These are £16.99 so they aren't the cheapest of slippers but they are great quality and well worth the money.

So that is everything I got from Flamingo Gifts I would 100% recommend this website for if you are looking for a gift for someone as they have everything; candles, slippers, notebooks, homeware! Anything you could possible want and at very affordable prices! I would again like to thank Flamingo Gifts for sending me these items and for having a lovely customer service!

I hope you've enjoyed this post! Have you ever tried Flamingo Gifts?
