September Empties.

Hello everyone. So it's the end of September and so I thought I'd share with you a few items I have finished this month. I haven't got as much to share with you as previous months but nevertheless I thought you'd be interested.

The first two items I finished this month were make up items. Can you believe this? These are the 2nd and 3rd make up items I've ever finished in my entire life! I know that most of you will think I'm joking but I'm not. I finished a Smashbox powder (which has also been discontinued) and that was the first thing I ever finished. I don't wear make up every day so I don't go through make up very quick but I'm trying to experiment more.

So the first item I finished was the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 01 Fair. A lot of people rave about this concealer and to be honest I can't say I'm a big fan. I used it all up until I couldn't scrape anymore and it was definitely good for highlighting areas of my face but as 'concealing' goes I don't think it's the greatest product for doing that. I found that it didn't conceal my blemishes very well and it went cakey under my eyes. So I'm still on the hunt for a good drugstore concealer so if you could recommend me some in the comments I would be very appreciative. I would give this concealer a rating of 6/10. I don't think it's badly priced at £4.19 but it just looked cakey on my skin and that's a no no from me. I won't be repurchasing this product.

The second item I finished was my Mally everlasting mascara in black. I believe this was limited edition as part of a collection I got for Christmas and I'm really gutted about that because it is the best mascara I have ever used. My auntie bought me this make up as my Christmas present so I'm not sure how much it cost but I know you can't get it anymore. It separated my lashes perfectly and gave me such good volume and length. I used this mascara so much that it had properly dried up and I tried to get it runny again but there was hardly any product left. I absolutely adore this mascara and would give it a rating of 10./10 and if I could repurchase it, I definitely would repurchase it.

Then I finished another Radox Cool Air 24hr Anti-Perspirant Deodorant. I said this in my last post but I seem to go through deodorant so fast in the summer months because I'm using it 2-3 times a day. I really love this roll on but I've since went to repurchase it and it wasn't in store - I'm just hoping it hasn't been discontinued or they've definitely rebranded the packaging. I bought mine from my local Savers. It does the job that it's supposed to do and it was £0.89p and so it's really not expensive and if I can repurchase it, I definitely will. I'd give it a rating of 8/10.

Then I finished a travel size Impulse Sweet Smile which the Pear and Jasmine scent. It's a body fragrance. I got this as part of a set for Christmas so I'm not sure they'll be a link for it. It was very handy to have when out and about as it is very travel friendly. I wouldn't repurchase this though, simply because I have a lot of different body fragrances and I think there are better ones than this on the market. I'm not sure if you can purchase these sizes but I would give it a rating of 5/10.

Then I finished the Beauty Narcotix The Ultimate Fix Spray which is for your nails. I've reviewed this before, so I won't say too much about this but if you want to know what I thought of this product you can read about it here. I'd now rate it about a 7/10 but I wouldn't repurchase it.

So they are all my September Empties, I hope you've enjoyed this post.

What products have you finished this month?

The Perks Of Meg Has A Custom Domain!

Hello everyone. So today's post is going to be another short and sweet post but I just thought I'd tell you all that The Perks Of Meg has got it's own custom/personal domain. Basically all this means is that it is now .co.uk rather than .blogspot.

I've been wanting to get my blog a domain since January 15th of this year for my blog's 1st birthday but I decided that it wasn't the time and so I stayed at blogspot. Last month I decided that I actually did want my very own domain and by this it gives me even more reason to blog. Although I had my huge (nearly 3 month) blogging break, I had to do it for good reasons and so this will encourage me to look past a blogging break. My domain wasn't very expensive and I got it from https://www.uk-cheapest.co.uk/clients/index.php and I am very happy with it. I paid £4.55 for a whole year.

I'm so glad I took the plunge and got my blog it's own domain because it now feels a little more personal and it's definitely worth it.

So I just thought I'd write a post to tell you all this, just in case you hadn't noticed or you wondered where I got my domain from.

Have you got your own domain?

Twig + Dot Candles.

Hello everyone. So I'm really excited about today's post because this is the first time I have ever featured candles on my blog. It may shock you but I have fell in love with candles over summer and now I am ready to start sharing them with you. I know that candles aren't everyone's cup of tea but I personally love these candles and I want to share them, so I am.

Twig + Dot kindly sent me 3 candles, 2 of which are from their Autumn collection. These are all the votive candles and last 5-8 hours. I can confirm that my Deep Sleep candle lasted 9 hours.

Twig + Dot have designed their candles with a beautifully clean aesthetic which means they compliment every home. They have unique fragrances of the highest quality and use a custom blend of soy and mineral wax. Each candle is hand poured in Great Britain.

Twig + Dot give simple guidelines to ensure you get the maximum burn time from your candle and to ensure that the glass jar does not overheat - which is very important. You can find all these guidelines here.

Each votive jar is £3.00 with a burn time of 5-8 hours and a Net Weight of 45g.

Each large jar with a lid is £16.00 with a burn time of 30-40 hours and a Net Weight of 230g.

So what do I think about each candle?

Deep Sleep - This candle was so lovely to burn. The candle contains soothing lavender and geranium. If you didn't already know, I am a huge lover of lavender and so this candle was right up my street. The geranium in the candle is meant to be stress-reducing and because it is combined with lavender it creates a "soothing" scent. I used this candle before bed and it really helped me relax. I used to light it and then lay in bed and read a book and it was just the perfect end to a day that may have been stressful. What I loved about this candle is it burned evenly. I have found when seeing other people's reviews of candles with one wick, that they burn unevenly and so I was worried that it might happen but not with this candle. It is a delight and for £3 you really cannot go wrong. I definitely think this is an all year round candle and if you're a stressed person like me then this candle will definitely help you.

Sugar & Spice - This candle would be the perfect edition to your lead up to Christmas. I associate vanilla and cinnamon with Christmas and so it fits so well. This candle is sweet vanilla and cinnamon. It is perfect for those cosy nights where you are sat with a blanket/cover on the sofa with your hot chocolate when it's cold outside. I believe this is a limited edition scent, so it might not be always available but I really hope it sticks around because it is my favourite candle out of all 3 of them. It is such a creamy candle (can you even describe a candle as creamy??) but because it has cinnamon in it, it has a spicy kick but it is very subtle. I love cinnamon scented things, so this is dreamy. I absolutely love this candle and again it burns evenly. I would definitely invest in the large jar with the lid because it is beautiful.

Pumpkin Pie - This candle would be the perfect edition to burn on Halloween or to the lead up to Halloween. This candle is pumpkin, custard & spice and it is lovely. It's sweet but not sickly sweet and it has a good balance. Again I believe this is a limited edition scent, so it might not be always available but again I really want it to stick around because I love it. I also believe it's one of Twig + Dot's bestsellers. This candle contains notes of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and molasses are rounded out with a creamy base note of custard. Now as I've said cinnamon is one of my favourite scents, so it's really no surprise that I love this. Twig + Dot describe it as "almost good enough to eat" but it is definitely not recommended because you cannot eat candles. This scent is definitely spicy and delicious and is perfect for Autumn. It's especially great when it is getting darker on a night and all you want to do is snuggle up in front of the TV and be warm. As previously mentioned with the other candles, this candle burns evenly too and I'd definitely get your hands on it as soon as possible.

I would highly recommend Twig + Dot Candles, they are amazing quality and the scents are dreamy. They are reasonably priced and they are a perfect gift for anyone. Delivery is fast and the burn time of them is great and they will look lovely in your home.

I would like to thank Twig + Dot for allowing me to review 3 of their votive candles and for making me fall in love with their candles. Now all my family are going to have to buy me more! Especially the Sugar & Spice Candle.

Have you tried Twig + Dot Candles before? What are your candle recommendations?

Update: Project 10 Pan.

Hello everyone. So you may have seen my original Project 10 Pan post which went live in July. If you haven't read it, then you can read it here. So as I previously mentioned in my last post the idea behind this project is that you pick 10 products and use them all up, before you buy any more. The reason why I wanted to do this project was because I have quite a lot of things and I tend to have more than one of a certain product and so the idea for me is to use up one of the products before starting a new one that I have already purchased or repurchasing a different product but that does the same purpose. I'm wanting to use up old products and I'm wanting to create more room in my storage. Lately, I haven't been buying but I just want to downsize and have one product. Instead of having 3 different face washes I just want one. For project 10 pan you are probably meant to have 10 different items from different categories e.g. one from nails, one for face, one make up item. But I just wanted to pick some items that I needed to use up so I don't have any make up this time round but if I continue this project than I probably will include make up too. I use more skincare than make up and this is why I have picked skincare to start off with.

So 2 months on, I thought I'd update you on the products that I have finished. I know I'm probably meant to update you on all of the other products too, but I've decided that my updates will only showcase the products that I have finished. I've also decided that until I use up all 10 items from my project 10 pan, I will not choose anymore to use up. I know I'm not technically doing this project right but this way works better for me.

So what have I finished up?

- Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tanning Mousse Dark (150ml) - So I managed to finish this bottle of tanning mousse. Over the summer I was really into fake tan so that is why it's all gone. I really love this tan and will definitely be repurchasing in the future. I first mentioned this tan in my Cocoa Brown Gift Set Valentine's Suggestion post and you can read that here.

- The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter (50ml) - I got this for Christmas from one of my friends and as you may all know by now I love The Body Shop Body Butters. I used this product when I was using my fake tan, so it was perfect. It really moisturised my body and helped my tan stay for longer. I do like this body butter but I'd quite like to try another one. I also think this was limited edition for Christmas! I will continue to repurchase The Body Shop Body Butters because I love them.

- The Ultimate Fix Spray By Beauty Narcotix (50ml) - I used this product throughout summer for both my pedicures and my manicures. I'm not going to talk about this product too much as I did a review of it here. I would maybe repurchase this in the future.

- Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash (3ml) - I first mentioned this product back in April when I got sent it from Cosme-de.com and you can read that post here. In that post I said that I loved it and the more I used it, the less I became to like it. I found a better eye cream and it really changed my opinion. It didn't really sink into my under eye area and it didn't really do anything for me. I'd never used an eye cream until I got this, but now that I have my Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado, I find that the Clarins Beauty Flash Eye Revive isn't as good as I once thought. I featured the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado in another Cosme-de.com post in April to celebrate their anniversary and you can read it here. I won't be repurchasing the Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash in the future.

So they are all the products I've used up so far for my Project 10 Pan. I'm sure I'll be able to update you all in another few months!

Have you taken part in Project 10 Pan?

*Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator.

Hello everyone. So today's post is another product from Bee Good. As you can probably tell I absolutely love Bee Good products and so today I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on this one. You may have seen in August that I had featured this product in a wishlist post which you can read here. So this is one item that I've managed to tick off my wishlist so far and I'm so glad I've got it. Last week you may have seen my September Favourites post which you can again read here and I mentioned this product in that post and so now you can read all about my thoughts and feelings towards this product.

So who are Bee Good?

Inspired by an expert beekeeper and based in rural Hampshire. Bee Good harnesses the powers of precious products from British beehives to create an award-winning range of hard-working yet luxurious skincare must-haves. This edited range delivers effective, easy to use products for all ages and skin types, giving you time back for other things! With every purchase you support young British beekeepers as they protect our precious bees. Since launching in summer 2014, the range has created a real buzz in the beauty industry, winning several beauty industry awards and launching in over 100 Waitrose stores nationwide. "Bee Good - award-winning British skincare with a conscience."

Bee Good are proud to be the only British premium skincare brand to exclusively use British bee ingredients in all their products.

What is the product?

The product I am reviewing today is the Bee Good (NEW)Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator. CEW Beauty Awards Winner 2015.

Bee Good say "Bring dull skin back to life with our (NEW) Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator. Packed with the very best, hardworking British ingredients, this creamy facial treatment gently lifts away dead skin cells, oil and dirt to reveal bee-autifully buffed, bright and energised skin. British wildflower honey deeply moisturises, whilst essential camelina, wheatgerm and crambe oils soothe and hydrate. Milled lavender flowers act as a natural exfoliating grain helping to provide a gentle, non-irritating yet effective exfoliation. Your skin will be left feeling perfectly polished, purified and perfected - ready for the next step in your skincare routine!"

 So what did I think?

I couldn't agree more with what Bee Good had said. It really is a brilliant exfoliator. Normally I like really tough, gritty scrubs for my face such as The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub.

However, I have tried this around 15 times now and each time I used it, I couldn't fault it. To start off the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! Then it is natural. It is free from Parabens, synthetic colour, mineral oil and silicone. You are supporting young beekeepers when you purchase this and then to top it all off, it's a great product.

It is so gentle on the skin and at first I thought 'Oh great, this isn't going to do any good' but I kept rubbing it around my face in circular motions and then it started to really work. You can tell more when you rinse the product off. It's not harsh on the skin in the slightest but it removes dead skin cells, it leaves your skin feeling moisturised and very clean. Therefore I cannot fault it.

I have quite sensitive skin and even this didn't irritate it. I'd definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a gentle but good exfoliator for your skin. It is really creamy and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. It really helped my congested skin. I paired this exfoliator with my muslin cloth and they were the perfect combination.

The exfoliator smells really nice too, it's a very sweet smell but not overly sweet and it's just nice. As sometimes I can be put off if the product doesn't smell very nice but I do really like the smell of this product!

Key Ingredients:

Carefully selected natural ingredients include moisturising British wildflower honey, natural source Vitamin E, soothing wheatgerm oil, hydrating camelina, nourishing British crambe oil and gentle yet effective exfoliating lavender flowers.

Fact:

Camelina oil is packed with omega fatty acids that help to moisturiser the skin and protect it from free radical damage!

How to Use:

Massage a small amount onto dry, cleansed skin over your face and neck, in circular motions. Gently wipe away the exfoliator with warm water or a damp muslin cloth. Bee Good recommends that you follow this product with the Bee Good Honey & Wild Flax Daily Moisturiser which I reviewed here.

Want to know more?

Discover more at the Bee Good Website.

Bee Good is also available from selected Waitrose stores nationwide and other websites such as LoveLula, Urban Outfitters, Bathandunwind and Fenwick Turnbridge Wells.

This product retails for £10.50 for 50ml. It's not the cheapest of exfoliators but I would happily repurchase this product in the future because it's really lovely to use.

Summer Seaside Adventures.

Hello everybody. So today's post is about the seaside. Now if you didn't already know, the seaside is my favourite place to go and I don't get to go there that often. I don't live anywhere near a beach or the seaside and I believe the closest one to me is Bridlington. I love Bridlington and have been going since I was super tiny, like maybe since I was 4? I absolutely love it and have had many memories there. So last month on the 2nd August, we decided to have a adventure and we went to the seaside. I had to get up at 7am for this but it was so worth it.

Firstly I must apologise for this photo, I forgot to take a photo of it before I got stuck into it but it was the best sausage sandwich I have ever tasted and that is why you've got this photo because I still wanted to share it with you. The bread was gorgeous and I could happily go and eat that again and again. I got a cup of tea with it and that made me happy. This was definitely worth getting up at 7am for. It was 9:15am when we arrived at this café and we stayed here for about half an hour.

Then we casually had a stroll along the streets and then I wanted to take some photos of the sea (for blogging purposes of course) and so we had a stroll around the harbour so I could take some pretty pictures of the sea. You can be the judge of my photography.

Then for dinner we went to a fish and chip restaurant because well, how can you go to the seaside and not have a fish and chip? It was called The Dolphin and it was so good. The portions were huge but never the less, it was super tasty.

Then after dinner, I went to one of the shops and got some doughnuts and we made our way home and then for the rest of the afternoon, I ate doughnuts, read a book and lit a candle.

Have you ever been to Bridlington? Do you like the seaside?

*ESQIDO False Eyelashes Review.

Hello everyone. So today's post is a review about the ESQIDO False Eyelashes and to go along with that the ESQIDO Eyelash Glue. I was very intrigued by this brand and so I felt very lucky that I had been sent these for review. Now, I don't think I've ever said this before but I have never worn false eyelashes before and so I'm not an expert in them and I am not used to wearing them because of this reason. One of the reasons I've never worn false eyelashes before, is that I never felt like I needed them because I naturally have quite long eyelashes. But I do like trying new things out and I wanted to see if wearing false eyelashes would make a difference to my make up look.

I was kindly sent the ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes. The ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes provide light volume which I think is perfect for someone like me, who isn't used to wearing false eyelashes and also for someone who wants a very natural eye look. They are very elegant and natural. This pair of mink lashes in particular features a gradient of  "increasing length and thickness across the lash band which then results in a subtle yet beautiful winged out effect" which I couldn't agree more with. They are truly beautiful.

The length of these lashes are 5-10mm and the band is a handcrafted cotton band. Not to mention their wear period of up to 25 times. They are super delicate but leave you with a gorgeous effect. They are soft and comfortable on the eye. They are handcrafted from the softest and finest naturally shed mink hairs and that is why they are so natural looking and they give your eyes a natural lift.

As I have never tried false eyelashes before I cannot compare them against synthetic false lashes but on my first experience with false eyelashes I am very happy.

The ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes came with clear instructions on how to apply them which is perfect for anyone who has never put them on before, like me.

There were 4 simple steps:

"Remove lashes gently from tray with your hands or a tweezer, do not tug on the fur, only handle from the band."
"Fit the lashes to base of your natural lash line, trim any excess from the outer corner."
"Apply lash glue along the entire cotton band and wait a few seconds for glue to become sticky."
"Apply the lashes to base of your natural lash line, and hold for a few seconds for it to dry."
I followed all the instructions above and used the ESQIDO Companion Eyelash Glue to stick on the ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes. I have to admit because I had never put on false eyelashes before I did find it quite tricky to measure and trim the eyelashes so that they fitted my eyes perfectly. So I kept doing it in little steps and trimming them until I was happy. Then I found applying them to my actual eye lid was quite difficult but again I'm solely putting this down to the fact I had never applied false eyelashes before. Once they were on and in the right position they actually looked really lovely. The ESQIDO Companion Eyelash Glue is so good and really does stick the eyelashes on.
The packaging is also so gorgeous. I absolutely love rose gold and so this packaging was right up my street. I loved how the ESQIDO Companion Eyelash Glue had a rose gold lid and the bottle was frosted glass. Beautiful packaging and a wonderful product.
I loved how along with the ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes they gave you instructions on how to apply them, remove them and care for them. They are very clear instructions and easy to understand. I removed them like the instructions said and have put them back into their original packaging to stay in good condition.
The ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes are $32 USD which works out at £20.48 GBP. They are definitely not the cheapest false eyelashes on the market but they are handcrafted and are definitely made to last. If you get up to 25 wears out of them that works out at less than £1 a wear. You could save yourself from buying several pairs of other cheap false eyelashes and just buy 1 pair of good false eyelashes.
The ESQIDO Companion False Eyelash Glue is $10 USD which works out at £6.40 GBP. Again, not the cheapest of glues but the quality is amazing and I would highly recommend this. I know that in generally a lot of people are funny about the eyelash glue they use as with cheaper brands normally their eyelash glue doesn't stick the eyelashes on properly and they end up falling off but this glue is perfect. You have to buy the ESQIDO Companion False Eyelash Glue separately to the lashes but I definitely think it's worth it.

On the photos above you can see how natural the eyelashes look and I got so many compliments on them. The ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes definitely give me more length and volume without looking false and that's why I love them so much.

I also know that next time I want to wear them I won't have as much difficulty because they are at the length that I need them. Overall I couldn't be more impressed. They are so worth the money and I will definitely be repurchasing these when I need to. Both the ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes and the ESQIDO Companion False Eyelash Glue are such good quality and I really cannot fault them.

Not only would I repurchase the ESQIDO Unforgettable False Eyelashes but I would love to try more of the ESQIDO False Eyelashes in their range to see how they change your make up look depending on their style.

Have you tried ESQIDO False Lashes before? Have you tried the ESQIDO Companion False Eyelash Glue?

September Favourites.

Hello everyone. So today I have my September favourites for you. Now you may think I've lost the plot and you can think whatever you like and I know you are meant to post a favourites post at the end of each month or at the end of the month and it's not even the middle of the month yet but I've been loving these products throughout August too, so I thought I'd do a September favourites now. Judge me if you like but ultimately I'm just showing you products that I've been loving this month and last month.

Skincare:

So the first skincare item I've been loving throughout August and September so far is the *Beegood Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator. Now I'm not going to say too much about this product just yet as I have a review all about this product, going live next Sunday. So if you want to know all my thoughts on the product, stay tuned for that. Overall though I have really been loving using this product, it's gentle, it's natural and it does a good job. This item retails for £10.50.

The next skincare item I've been loving is the Nivea Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. Now if you know me by now, you'll know I have very sensitive eyes and so this product is absolutely perfect for me. It's gentle and removes eye make up almost instantly. Like most eye make up removers you do have to rub your eye with the cotton pad that you've put the product onto but there is no harsh rubbing on the eye and even though it's an eye make up remover, I use it on my face too and it removes face make up, just as well. I really love this product, the only critism I have is that I don't like the packaging. I find that the product leaks out of the bottle but other than that, I love it. I will probably repurchase in the future. This retails for £3.59.

Mouth Care:

Well I've put this under 'Mouthcare' as it is for your mouth. Okay so it's a toothpaste but I have to admit it's a good one. This is the Colgate Whitening & Fresh Breath Toothpaste. Like every other toothpaste on the market, it cleans your teeth and does that job fine but since I've been using this toothpaste, people have commented on my teeth and told me how white they look. So yes, they might not look like Simon Cowell's but they are a little whiter than normal and so I really love this toothpaste. It cleans my teeth but also it makes them a bit whiter so what more can I say. I will be repurchasing this when this runs out. You can get this for £1.00.

Make up:

The first make up item I have been loving this month is my Mally Radiant Taupe Palette. Now this was limited edition and you can no longer get this but it is beautiful. It came as part of a set and the set is great, although again it was limited edition. I think it was a QVC special that my auntie got me for Christmas one year. I actually did a Mally Review when I first started my blog and you can read it here. If you are going to read it prepare for small writing and images, I hadn't really got the idea back then. This palette is the perfect travel sized palette. It even has an eye shadow base, so you don't need to have a separate primer. The packaging is good and the eyeshadows themselves are gorgeous. They are very natural and so they are right up my street. Although you can apply them very lightly, you can also build them up to be a much deeper, darker finish. They have a satin feel and they stay on my eyelids all night. Colours from left to right; eyeshadow base, sandy nude, shimmering taupe and haze. I normally use the colour sandy nude if I am wanting to wear an eye shadow in the day and I like shimmering taupe along with haze in the crease if I am going out somewhere.

*Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara - I have really been loving this mascara, I haven't been able to find a good mascara in quite a while and so I think I've finally found one that I like. You can use this mascara and apply it lightly to create a natural look or you can apply it a bit more heavier and create a more dramatic night time look and this is probably my favourite part about this mascara. The formula is good and it doesn't leave fall down after a couple of hours which, I have found with past mascaras this is what they've done. This mascara is super affordable too at only £3.30!

*NYX Blush in the shade Angel - One of the nicest blushes I own. It is so lovely. It is so subtle and that is what I love. It is quite a highlighting blush so you could probably get away with not wearing a highlighter if you didn't want to use two different products. It's only £6.00 and for the quality I'd highly recommend it.

*Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Barely There - Now, surprisingly I'm not really a lipstick lover, which you may find really odd but I absolutely love this lipstick. It is the perfect lipstick for all year round and is pigmented and quite sheer. I've been reaching for this lipstick all of all last month and this month too and it's just a great lipstick. Super affordable too. This lipstick is only £2.29!

Other:

Again, it may come as a shock for you all but I have recently become obsessed with candles and I have been absolutely loving this *Deep Sleep Candle by Twig and Dot. I have been loving to burn this candle on a night, just before I go to bed to help me relax and it really has been helping me relax. This is the votive jar size and is £3. I have a full review of this candle and two more from Twig and Dot coming very soon on my blog.

Then finally I've been loving my *Classy Sheffield (34mm) Rose Gold Watch by Daniel Wellington. It is an absolutely gorgeous watch and it is super comfy. It goes with everything you wear too, so there is no need to worry about it matching things. I've been wearing it every day since I got it. I'm not going to talk about this in too much detail as I did a review post on this here - so if you would like to find out more, you can just read that post. This retails for £159.

Also, Daniel Wellington have kindly provided me with a promotion code so that you can get 15% off the Daniel Wellington website until September 15th. All you have to do is use the promo code; theperksofmeg in the checkout and you will get 15% off your order.

What's In My College Pencil Case?

Hello everyone. So at the beginning of this month, you might have seen my College Haul which you can read here. I asked if you would want a 'What's In My College Pencil Case?' post and a few people on twitter said yes. So here it is. Now I may not be able to link all the products that are in this post due to me buying them in store rather than online but if there is anything I can link than I will.

My pencil case is very standard and it just says 'Pencils, Pens and All Things Nice' this is from B&M Bargains and it was only £0.99p. I find that I get cheap pencil cases because they end up getting so mucky inside from the pencils and so I just got this one. It's the perfect size for my college bag and fits everything I need in it.

Inside my pencil case I have:

Sharpener - Tesco.
Rubber - Tesco.
Vyper Ruler - Got this at the Vyper Awards at school in 2014.

I can't link to the actual Sharpener and Rubber but you can get a Sharpener and Rubber set from Tesco for £0.30p here.

Nibb Highlighters - B&M Bargains
Stabilo Boss Original Highlighter (Got it as a pack of 3) - Amazon. - Buy here.

Pencils - Tesco (Came as a 10 pack) - I paid £1.00.

Berol fine liners (Pack of 12) - Amazon - Buy here.

Vyper Pen - Got it from school at the Vyper Awards in 2014.
2x College Pens - I got them from the College that I have started.
Gen Pen - I got it at school when I had to do all my green pen feedback.
3x Blue Pens - Tesco.
1x Red Pen - Tesco.
1x Black Pen - Tesco.
Z Pens (3 pack) - Amazon - Buy here.

So that's everything that I have in my College pencil case.

What do you have in your pencil case?

*Lilash 6 Week Review.

Hello everyone. So for the past 6 weeks I have been using the Lilash and LiBrow serums. I have been using the demi versions. The demi bottles are the smaller versions of both Lilash and Librow and retail at £53.93. I'm really happy that Lilash have the smaller bottles because it definitely allows you to really try out the product before jumping on the bandwagon and investing in the bigger version for £94.37. I really do think this is a great idea as the demi version seems to last ages but the true verdict will be on my 12 week review.

Lilash is an eyelash serum and Librow is an eyebrow serum. I have never used serums for a particular part of my face before so I was really excited to try something new. It came beautifully packaged and it came pretty quickly. I knew as soon as I got these products that I had to be patient and had to wait to see the results, like most products really, except 6 weeks is a long time to remember to put these serums on every single day. I've actually managed to do that which I am pretty proud of but I do have another 6 weeks to go until I should see the ultimate results, so the 12 week review will be coming in another 6 weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.

From first impressions, I really liked both serums, I loved the packaging, I loved how travel friendly they were and the serum itself. The application of these products are super easy and you even get a guide to tell you how to do it.

When Lilash sent me these items, they also included notes on how to take the perfect 'selfie' and a few tips for the ultimate success which I thought was really thoughtful and added a bit more to the package.

"Long, thick lashes. Bold, arching brows. Satisfaction guaranteed."

Lilash demi - purified eyelash serum.

Create your best look with the serum that started it all. Get thick, eye-popping lashes in weeks.

Librow demi - purified eyebrow serum.

Complete your look with boldly arched and tapered brows. Get ready to be amazed.

"experience the magic"

Lilash demi brings your lashes to new, extraordinary lengths. As the most iconic lash serum in the world. It transforms lashes for a more beautiful, sexy look.

Librow demi fortifies and conditions brow follicles while gently darkening the brow hair with a unique botanical tinting agent that gives you bold, eye-defining brows.

Directions for Lilash demi:

Apply once a day to clean, dry skin.

1. Remove the applicator from the tube and wipe off excess serum on the inside of the tube.

2. Apply Lilash directly to the upper eyelid skin, along the lash line. Every time you apply, alternate the direction of the stroke from outer to inner.

3. Allow serum to dry for 2-3 minutes before applying cosmetics.

Lilash is highly concentrated; a single application stroke is all you need for best results. To avoid irritation, do not apply to the lower eyelids or directly to the lashes. For sensitive eyes, apply every other day during the first week.

Directions for Librow demi:

Apply once daily to clean, dry skin.

1. Remove the applicator from the tube and wipe off any excess serum on the inside of the tube.

2. Apply Librow along the brow area skin. Every time you apply, alternate the direction of the stroke from outer to inner.

3. Allow Librow to dry for 2-3 minutes before applying cosmetics.

Librow is highly concentrated a single application stroke is all you need for best results. Do not apply to eyelids or eyelashes.

Lilash helps to nourish the lashes and allows less breakages to occur so that your lashes stay thicker and fuller for longer. I definitely think this product is perfect for sensitive eyes, I haven't had any irritation at all.

Also Lilash have a 90 day money back guarantee, which is great and usually makes me feel like the product is great quality and I believe this is the case here.

So now that I've given you all the information you'll need, I guess I should show you all my 6 week results.

As you can see I'm pretty sure the photos speak for themselves. I was very unsure about these serums at first because my eyebrows grow quickly anyway and my eyelashes are naturally quite long but I've definitely seem a big difference, so I am very much looking forward to seeing the ultimate results in another 6 weeks time. My eyelashes are definitely longer and a little thicker and I look like I have more fuller eyelashes which is great. Although my eyebrows could do with a little bit of a pluck, I decided to just leave them because I want to show you honest results.

So there we have it, so far I am really impressed with both serums and I look forward to seeing the ultimate results in 6 weeks but so far so good. I would highly recommend these products so far.

You can buy Lilash demi and Librow demi here.

Have you tried Lilash and Librow before? What were your results?
